How to Play Landlord

The Chinese card game Landlord, also known as Dou Di Zhu, is a popular card game played with a standard deck of 54 cards. The player to the left of the dealer goes first, and then play moves clockwise. Each player must play a card from their hand that matches the suit of the first card played, or a card that is one higher or one lower in rank than the previous card played. If a player does not have a playable card, they must pass and the next player takes their turn.
